The Healing Art of Massage
Ari Liakeas, (MGHT, FHT & RYT 200)
Founder of Stellar Therapies, a former costume designer, experienced burnout after many years working for the UK theatre industry and realized she needed a change in her life.
She travelled and engaged in activities such as Arabic belly dancing and yoga. She reconnected with the healing art of massage and retrained in various massage therapies.
Since 2016, Ari has been working professionally as a bodywork therapist and has worked in various settings such as clinics, spas, athletic events, charitable organizations and corporate environments.
In 2019, her work took her worldwide and in 2020, she founded Stellar Therapies to share her bodywork healing, dance and yoga expertise.
Ari is trained in multiple treatment modalities and continues to update her skills and knowledge in the industry to deepen her understanding of how best to facilitate and support healing for her clients. Her passion is being of service to people on their journey to optimum health and well-being.
The Journey to Yoga & Movement
Ari Liakeas has had a lifelong interest in dance and movement, taking inspiration from her mother. She has explored various cultural forms of movement, dance, and yoga, but Arabic dance particularly resonated with her soul, feeling inspired, uplifted, and empowered by the movements and the music.
She realised the deep connections of this form of dance to the feminine goddess aspect of life, and how the movements can bring profound health and healing to women on physical, emotional, and spiritual levels.
Through dance and yoga, Ari has found her own transformative path to healing trauma deeply embedded within the body and soul. Since 2019 she has taken 100's hours of Yoga Teacher Trainings in Hatha, Yin, and Restorative Yoga practices and continued her studies through further training in Yoga and movement, so that she could share these practices with others through community classes.
She believes in creating an inclusive space for people to share and connect, a safe environment to celebrate community, reconnect with the self, and bring joy and healing on all levels.
